We want to beat Jamaica to win 2025 Unity Cup – Nigeria coach Eric Chelle
The head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Eric Chelle, is eyeing a win against Jamaica in the finals of the 2025 Unity Cup.
The Super Eagles kicked off their campaign at the four-nation tournament on Wednesday, May 28.
In the semi-final game against the Black Stars of Ghana, Nigeria secured a 2-1 win at the end of the contest.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Coach Eric Chelle said the team’s target now is to win the 2025 Unity Cup.
“We just played one game, so we try to prepare for the second game. We are in the final, so we want to win. Jamaica is a great team with great players, so it will be a great game,” Coach Eric Chelle said.
He continued, “I’m so proud of my players because they fought. It was difficult, but I think they deserved this victory.”
Nigeria, after beating Ghana, will now prepare to take on Jamaica in the final of the 2025 Unity Cup.
The final is scheduled to kick off at 4 pm at the Brentford Community Stadium on Saturday, May 31.
