Borussia Dortmund have reportedly set a €20 million asking price for Ramy Bensebaïni, as Olympique de Marseille consider a summer move for the Algerian international.
The 30-year-old left-back, who joined Dortmund from Borussia Mönchengladbach in July 2023, has emerged as a target for the Ligue 1 side following a strong season with the Bundesliga runners-up.
Bensebaïni has made 43 appearances across all competitions this campaign, scoring three goals and registering seven assists, with one match remaining in the league.
Despite being under contract at Signal Iduna Park until June 2027, Dortmund are understood to be open to parting ways with the Constantine-born defender.
According to Bild, the German club would consider sanctioning his departure should a club meet their €20 million valuation.
That figure, however, is seen as steep by many observers, particularly given Bensebaïni’s age.
Now 30, and with his market value estimated at €7 million by Transfermarkt, the price tag may prove a sticking point for potential suitors.
Nonetheless, interest from Marseille remains firm.
The club’s recruitment team has been tracking the 70-cap Algerian, who can operate both as a traditional left-back and centrally in defence.
Unless Borussia Dortmund lower their demands, a transfer may not materialise this summer.

In that case, Bensebaïni is expected to remain in Germany for at least another season.
He is also tipped to feature in Dortmund’s squad for the upcoming Club World Cup, scheduled to run from 14 June to 13 July, although that participation could be influenced by the Algerian Football Federation, who have yet to give a definitive stance.
Bensebaïni’s journey with Dortmund has marked a significant comeback following an injury-plagued 2022–23 campaign.
A medial ligament issue had limited his contributions during his final season with Mönchengladbach, but he has since regained form and fitness, becoming a regular starter in Edin Terzić’s side.
With Marseille looking to strengthen ahead of a potential European campaign and Dortmund evaluating their squad ahead of a demanding summer, Bensebaïni’s situation could be one of the more closely watched transfer stories in the coming weeks.
