Angers consider Pau FC defender Joseph Kalulu in Ligue 1 move

France and DR Congo defender Joseph Kalulu is being linked with a move from Pau FC to Angers SCO, with the Ligue 1 club monitoring the 21-year-old left-back.

Kalulu is under contract at Pau until 30 June 2027, meaning any transfer would need to be agreed before his proposed move to Angers could take place. The clubs currently operate in different divisions, with Pau competing in Ligue 2 and Angers in Ligue 1.

The Lyon-born defender joined Pau from AS Saint-Priest on a free transfer in July 2024. He had previously played for Saint-Priest’s reserve and under-19 sides after leaving Lyon’s academy system.

Kalulu has made one Ligue 2 appearance, playing 45 minutes. He is a naturally left-footed defender and is listed at 1.80m.

His current market value is €2m, while his Pau contract has two years remaining. There is no indication that a fee or agreement has been reached, and the reported interest remains at the rumour stage.
