Borussia Dortmund will consider a move to sign RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Sebastian Nanasi in the summer transfer window if their pursuit of French-Algerian midfielder Rayan Cherki fails.

The German Bundesliga side has long been linked with a move to sign Cherki from Olympique Lyon.

Last summer, Dortmund were linked with a move to sign Rayan Cherki, but no official contact was made.

However, in the winter transfer window, the Germans contacted Olympique Lyon over a potential move to sign the midfielder.

According to new information gathered, Dortmund have not given up on signing Rayan Cherki and have made him a priority signing for the upcoming summer transfer window.

However, if the club fails in its pursuit of the highly-rated attacking midfielder, it will look at other options.

In its Plan B, the German club will consider signing Sebastian Nanasi from RC Strasbourg instead.

The 22-year-old has also impressed with his performance in the French Ligue 1 this season and is considered as one with a lot of potential just like Cherki.
