Algerian defender Jaouen Hadjam has reiterated his ambition to play for Paris Saint-Germain, following his impressive performances with both Young Boys Bern and the national team.
The 22-year-old, who recently netted his first international goal against Mozambique, remains hopeful of a future move to the French giants.
From Paris to Bern
Hadjam’s football journey began in Paris, where he briefly trained at PSG’s academy in 2014 before continuing his development at Paris FC.
He later signed his first professional contract there and eventually made his way to Ligue 1 with FC Nantes.
A move to the Swiss Super League followed, where despite a challenging season for Young Boys Bern, Hadjam has cemented himself as a key player in the squad.
A return to Paris on the horizon?
The left-back has not hidden his long-term aspirations.
Speaking after Algeria’s match against Mozambique, Hadjam made his intentions clear.
“My dream club is PSG. My dream is to play there one day, InshaAllah, and I’m working towards it,” he said”
With his growing reputation and consistent performances, Hadjam remains determined to prove himself worthy of a move back to the French capital.
While a transfer may not be imminent, his development trajectory suggests he is a player to watch in the coming seasons.
A key player in Petkovic’s plans?
Since making his debut for Algeria in 2023, Hadjam has steadily earned the trust of national team coach Vladimir Petkovic.

In the recent victory over Mozambique, he was deployed as a right-back—a position outside his usual left-sided role—and delivered a strong performance, capping it off with his first goal for the Fennecs.
His versatility, technical ability, and work ethic have positioned him as a valuable asset for the national team’s future.
Petkovic appears to view Hadjam as an integral part of his long-term plans, with the defender’s adaptability making him a key figure in the squad’s ongoing evolution.
While Hadjam remains committed to his current club, his eyes are firmly set on achieving his PSG dream.
If his form continues on its current trajectory, a move to one of Europe’s top leagues may not be far away.
