Andreas Hountondji linked with Frosinone transfer from Burnley

Andreas Hountondji, the Benin and France-qualified forward currently at Burnley, is being linked with a move to Serie A club Frosinone.

The 24-year-old centre-forward returned to Burnley on 30 June after spending the 2025-26 season on loan at St Pauli. The proposed transfer to Frosinone is currently assessed at 85%, with Hountondji’s market value listed at €3m.

Hountondji made 21 Bundesliga appearances for St Pauli during his loan spell, scoring four goals. He joined Burnley from French club SM Caen in July 2024 for a reported €4m fee, but has since spent periods away from Turf Moor on loan.

He moved to Standard Liege in January 2025 before joining St Pauli in July of the same year. His Championship record for Burnley stands at nine appearances, with 206 minutes played.

Hountondji is contracted to Burnley until 30 June 2028. Any move to Frosinone would therefore involve the Italian club securing a transfer for a player who remains under contract with the Championship side.
