Otto Addo outlines vision for a disciplined and united Black Stars

The head coach of Ghana’s Black Stars, Otto Addo is aiming for more wins following the victories against Chad and Madagascar in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

To ensure this is possible, the coach has stressed that it is important for his team to improve.

He believes that if the Black Stars build on the victories against Chad and Madagascar, the team will be successful and achieve their ambition of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“We have certain areas where we can always improve. We had a solid defence, and we also scored a lot of goals.

“But in between, the connection has to be much stronger, because especially the second game against Mali would be very tough. If we continue like that, we will be successful,” coach Otto Addo told Joy Sports in an interview.

Ghana, after the wins against Chad and Madagascar, has moved to the top of the Group I standings in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Winning the next two games in the qualifiers in the September window will get the Black Stars closer to qualification.
