Mohamed Salah once again carved his name into Premier League history, netting twice in Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Southampton in the 28th round of the season.
The Egyptian forward converted penalties in the 54th and 88th minutes, taking his league tally to 27 goals this campaign—seven behind Erling Haaland.
According to Squawka, Salah’s goal contributions (goals + assists) for the season now stand at an impressive 44. His brace also propelled him to 184 Premier League goals, equaling Manchester City legend Sergio Agüero as the highest-scoring foreign player in league history.
Salah’s dominance at Liverpool continues, surpassing his own club record for most goals in a single Premier League season. He eclipsed his 42-goal haul from 2017/18 and bettered Luis Suárez’s 2013/14 tally.
Matching Thierry Henry’s and Erling Haaland’s record for most goal contributions in a single campaign, Salah has also become one of only three players to score at least 10 goals both home and away in three or more Premier League seasons joining Harry Kane and Haaland in an elite club.
