French footballer of Congolese descent, Tanguy Ndombélé, is set to remain out of OGC Nice’s squad for a longer time due to his issues with pubalgia, commonly referred to as sports hernia.
The midfielder has been out of action for a while after complaining of hernia issues in January.
Although fans hoped the 28-year-old would fully recover to help the club fight for a strong finish to the season, things are not going well.
On Thursday, Nice manager Franck Haise revealed during a press conference that Tanguy Ndombélé is still battling pubalgia.
However, he disclosed that the midfielder has consulted an expert, and efforts are underway to address the problem. The experts believe that Ndombele’s situation will not need surgery
It is, however, unclear when the Frenchman will make a full recovery to earn a selection into the team’s squad.
Meanwhile, Terem Moffi and Morgan Sanson have both trained with their OGC Nice teammates this week.
Unfortunately, they do not have the fitness for the upcoming game against AS Saint-Étienne on Saturday.
