Spanish football giants, Real Madrid, are reportedly devising ambitious transfer plans in response to a possible departure of their star forward, Vinicius Jr.
The Brazilian winger, who recently discovered his African heritage tracing back to Cameroon’s Tikar tribe, has been instrumental for Los Blancos this season, registering 17 goals and 10 assists in 33 appearances.
According to Eduardo Inda, a well-known Spanish football pundit, Saudi Arabian clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Ahly are targeting Vinicius.
He revealed on the popular show El Chiringuito that the clubs are prepared to make a world-record bid between €300 million and €400 million, surpassing the current record set by Neymar’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
If the historic move goes through, Real Madrid are prepared to reinvest the funds strategically. Inda highlighted two main targets for the club: Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and Manchester City’s Rodri Hernández.
Williams, who has a €62 million release clause, is considered a direct replacement for Vinicius on the wing.
Meanwhile, Rodri, a Madrid native with reported Real Madrid sympathies despite his Atlético Madrid past, would be a more difficult signing but remains a top choice for strengthening the midfield.
