Former Super Eagles defender Ifeanyi Udeze has lauded Nigerian international Ola Aina, declaring him the best right-back in the Premier League this season.
Aina has been in stellar form for Nottingham Forest, showcasing his defensive prowess while also contributing offensively with two goals and one assist in 25 appearances this season.
His performances have played a crucial role in keeping the club in contention for a top-four finish.
On Aina’s remarkable displays, Udeze said: “For me, Ola Aina is the best right-back in the Premier League this season.”
The ex-2002 World Cup player made these remarks during an appearance on Brila channel.
Udeze also offered some advice to Aina, suggesting that if a major club came calling in the summer, he should seriously consider the move.
“If I was in his shoes and Manchester City were interested in me, I would leave Nottingham Forest,” Udeze added.
Aina’s current contract with Nottingham Forest expires this summer, though it includes an automatic one-year extension clause.
Reports indicate that the club is weighing up the option to trigger the extension and secure his services for another season.
