Ghana’s Jeffrey Schlupp debuts for Celtic in 6-0 mauling of Dundee FC

Ghanaian defender Jeffrey Schlupp made his debut for Celtic on Wednesday night, coming off the bench to help his new side secure a commanding 6-0 victory over Dundee FC in the Scottish Premiership.

Having only joined the Scottish giants on Tuesday, Schlupp was named in the matchday squad by manager Brendan Rodgers but started on the bench.

The former Black Stars regular was introduced in the 72nd minute, replacing Greg Taylor, and played his part in ensuring Celtic maintained their clean sheet while cruising to an emphatic win.

Celtic set the tone for their dominant display in the 18th minute when Arne Engels converted from the spot before adding a second later in the game. Daizen Maeda also netted twice, while Adam Idah and Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn completed the rout.

Following his debut, Ghana’s Jeffrey Schlupp will be eager to cement his place in the squad as Celtic push for the Scottish Premiership title.
