England-born Nigerian forward Rio Ngumoha found the net against his former club as Liverpool U18s staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Chelsea U18s 3-2 and book a place in the U18 Premier League Cup semi-finals.
Playing at Chelsea’s Cobham Training Centre, the young Reds found themselves trailing by two goals before launching a late resurgence.
Trey Nyoni pulled one back before Ngumoha, who joined Liverpool from Chelsea last summer, struck the decisive equaliser to make it 2-2.

Nyoni and Amara Nallo, both of whom featured in Liverpool’s midweek UEFA Youth League loss to PSV, started the match. Nallo’s difficult week continued as he was sent off just minutes into his debut.
