Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has called on manager Ruben Amorim to allow former midfielder Paul Pogba to train with the squad.
Ferdinand, a long-time admirer of Pogba’s talent, believes the Frenchman should be given an opportunity to regain his fitness and prove himself again.
“I’d say to Pogba, ‘Come in and train with us, let me see what you’ve got.’ I’d do that. I would have done that already. Come in and get fit,” Ferdinand stated.
Pogba, who recently had his doping ban reduced to 18 months, could return to action as early as March. Following Juventus’ decision to part ways with him, the 31-year-old is currently searching for a new club and remains hopeful of securing a move in the summer to resume his playing career.
Many are looking forward to seeing the World Champion back in action.
