Bayern Munich midfielder Noel Aseko, who holds both German and Congolese nationality, has extended his contract with the club until 2028 before securing an 18-month loan move to Hannover 96.
The highly rated defensive midfielder, who joined Bayern’s academy from Hertha BSC at the age of 16, has been a standout performer in the club’s youth ranks.
He has made 22 competitive appearances for Bayern’s U19 side, contributing one goal and two assists, while also netting twice in 13 Regionalliga Bayern matches this season.
Aseko made his first professional appearance for Bayern in a friendly against FC Basel in January 2024, marking the occasion with a goal.
Despite his promising development, he will continue his progression in the 2. Bundesliga with Hannover, where he is expected to gain regular first-team experience.
Bayern Confident in Aseko’s Progress
Bayern Munich’s youth development director, Jochen Sauer, expressed confidence in the 18-year-old’s potential, stating: “Noel has developed very well in our youth teams since his arrival in Munich and has recently been able to impress regularly during professional training.
In Hannover, he has the opportunity to take the next steps at a high level. We will continue to support him closely.”
Aseko’s loan spell at Hannover 96 presents a crucial stage in his career, as he looks to gain valuable senior experience before returning to Bayern to compete for a place in the first team.
