Two famous Cameroonian football stars, Samuel Eto’o and Seidou Mbombo Njoya will be competing against each other for the CAF Executive Council slot.
The upcoming CAF elections has attracted numerous interest since Eto’o and his compatriot are running for the same position. The much-anticipated elections has been scheduled for March 12, 2025.
Eto’o beat off competition from Njoya to become the President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) back in 2021 and are set to battle it out again for CAF spot.
Njoya is determined to challenge his compatriot this time for a key role in African football.
This is the first time two people from the same country will compete for a spot on the CAF executive committee, making their rivalry even more important.
Eto’o’s campaign has drawn extra attention because of recent issues, including a $200,000 fine from CAF and a six-month ban from FIFA.
Despite this, Eto’o is determined and says nothing will stop him from achieving his goals in African football.
