Ghana forward Jordan Ayew has urged his teammates to make better adjustments following Leicester City’s 3-1 defeat to Premier League leaders Liverpool at Anfield.
Despite Ayew’s stunning opener, the Foxes were unable to hold onto their advantage, conceding three goals as Liverpool stormed back to claim victory on Thursday night.
Ayew, who showcased his attacking quality with a well-taken strike, stressed the need for improved defensive organization to prevent similar outcomes in future matches.
“We need to adjust better,” Ayew said. “We didn’t start the second half well because they were on top of us. As a team, we could’ve made better decisions, but we will learn from this key moment.”
The Ghanaian international, however, commended Leicester’s resilience and expressed confidence in the squad’s ability to bounce back.
“Overall, I’m proud of the boys—their fighting spirit, character, and mentality. If we keep playing with this determination, we’ll be fine in the league,” he added.
Since joining Leicester from Crystal Palace in the summer, Ayew has been in fine form, scoring five goals and providing one assist in 20 appearances across all competitions.
His leadership continues to be vital for the Foxes in their ongoing campaign.
