Egypt legend Ahmed Mido Hossam for taken a swipe at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for snubbing Egyptian international Ahmed Mostafa Zizo for the best Player on the continent gong.
Zizo, who plies his trade for Modern Sports Club fell short to South Africa and Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper for the best player award in Africa at the CAF awards held in Morocco on Monday night.
However, Mido has taken to social media to express his displeasure about the awards, saying Zizo deserved to win the award for the best player in Africa.
“Zizo deserved the title of the best player in the continent after he performed better than any other player, but unfortunately, compliments and relationships control the fate of awards within the African Union.” He wrote on X.
