Kenya’s Harambee Starlets have commenced training in Morocco ahead of two highly anticipated international friendly matches against the host nation. The games, scheduled as part of the FIFA international break, will take place on Friday, November 29, at 8:00 PM EAT and Tuesday, December 3, at 1:45 PM EAT.
Under the guidance of coach Beldine Odemba, the squad boasts a mix of seasoned professionals and promising young talents, underscoring a focus on both experience and development.
Notable among the call-ups are Junior Starlets captain Elizabeth Ochaka and goalkeeper Christine Adhiambo, both earning their first senior team selections.
Ochaka’s defensive prowess and Adhiambo’s shot-stopping skills, honed during the FIFA Women’s U17 World Cup, are expected to add depth to the team.
Adhiambo, transitioning from the U20 setup, is joined by other debutants, including Jackline Chesang of Trinity Starlets and Diana Cherono from Vihiga Queens.
Their standout performances in the ongoing FKF Women’s Premier League season have earned them places in the senior team.
