Fouad Bouali has stepped down as head coach of MC El Bayadh, becoming the seventh manager in Ligue 1 Mobilis to part ways with their club this season. The decision was announced on Tuesday evening, with Bouali citing insurmountable challenges as the reason for his departure.
The former assistant coach of the Tanzanian national team joined MC El Bayadh during the summer but has struggled to stabilize the team.
Currently sitting 15th in the Ligue 1 Mobilis standings, the club has endured a difficult start to the campaign, losing five matches.
Despite a few notable performances, including a surprise 3-2 away win over CR Belouizdad, last season’s league runners-up, and a resounding 4-0 home victory against NC Magra, the team’s inconsistency has left them near the relegation zone.
Bouali explained his decision, stating he was no longer able to fulfill his duties given the prevailing conditions at the club.
His resignation adds to the growing list of managerial changes in Ligue 1 Mobilis, reflecting the high-pressure environment in Algerian football.
MC El Bayadh now faces the challenge of finding a suitable replacement as they prepare for their next match against MC Alger on Friday.
The clash, part of the league’s ninth round of fixtures, will test the resilience of a team already grappling with uncertainty and instability.
Bouali’s exit is part of a broader trend this season, as six other coaches have also left their posts.
These include Si Tahar Cherif El-Ouazzani (JSS), Youcef Bouzidi (MCO), Corentin Martins (CRB), Radhi Jaidi (PAC), Hatem Missaoui (USMK), and Cherif Hadjar (ESM).
The spate of managerial changes highlights the volatile nature of the league, where results often dictate the longevity of coaching tenures.
As MC El Bayadh searches for new leadership, the focus will be on revitalizing the team and improving results to climb out of the lower ranks of the standings.
Meanwhile, Bouali’s departure underscores the pressing need for structural stability and support within the club.
