The FIFA Referees Committee has continued unveiling the officiating teams for matches in the opening round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Jordanian referee Adham Makhadmeh selected to oversee the upcoming encounter between Spain and Cape Verde.

FIFA Confirms Match Officials

Spain and Cape Verde are set to face off next Monday in one of the opening group stage fixtures of the tournament, with the match scheduled to take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
