Werder Bremen stay patient with Justin Njinmah

SV Werder Bremen are continuing to back Justin Njinmah despite a frustrating 2025/26 season that left some fans wondering whether a move might follow.

Reports in Germany say the 25-year-old forward is still firmly in the club’s plans for next season, with no exit talks on the table right now. Werder’s hierarchy still believe his pace and direct running can become real weapons if he sharpens his finishing.

Njinmah made 33 Bundesliga appearances last season and scored five goals, but his return in front of goal fell short of expectations. Club official Peter Niemeyer pointed to the same issue, saying the attacker brings plenty through speed but must become more clinical in the final third. Even so, Werder are not giving up on him and have decided to keep faith rather than cash in.

The club had already resisted a strong bid from an Italian side in winter 2024/25, reportedly in the low double-digit millions, because they still see room for growth. That stance has not changed.

Werder believe Njinmah can take another step under Daniel Thioune, whose relationship with the player is viewed internally as a major plus. For Bremen, the message is clear: Njinmah stays, and the next chapter is about development, not departure.
