VINCENT LABRUNE: “JORDAN AYEW SHOULD NOT HAVE PLAYED AGAINST US! THIS IS BAD FAITH!”

Labrune

Jordan Ayew, who was transferred on loan by Marseille to Sochaux, is expected to face his former teammates this Saturday as part of the 31st round of Ligue 1, despite the existence of an agreement reported by Marseille president Vincent Labrune.

Labrune expressed his disappointment, stating, “We had established that he would not play against us if he was on loan. I learn that Hervé Renard is not aware of this and that they will probably play him. This is at best a misunderstanding, at worst bad faith. I take note of it but it still breaks all the habits and customs,” in comments provided to our publication.

On the other hand, the president of Sochaux clarified, “There is no written agreement, nor gentleman’s agreement on this subject… There was therefore no agreement… I am perfectly calm. What bothers me a little is that our good faith could possibly be called into question.”
