Spain, Morocco, and Portugal are determined to deliver an outstanding 2030 FIFA World Cup, with close collaboration across multiple sectors seen as key to the tournament’s success.
Spanish Ambassador to Morocco, Enrique Ojeda, reaffirmed this commitment on Tuesday in Madrid, highlighting the importance of synergy between the three host nations.
“Our ambition is to make this World Cup an exceptional event whose success reflects that of our three countries,” Ojeda stated after signing a joint declaration of intent focused on judicial cooperation related to the tournament.
A unified approach to hosting
With an event of this scale requiring meticulous planning, Ojeda emphasized that effective coordination across various sectors—including security, logistics, and legal matters—will be essential.
He described the World Cup as a unique opportunity for Spain, Morocco, and Portugal, stressing that meticulous preparation is crucial to ensure everything runs smoothly.
A key step in this collaboration was the signing of a judicial cooperation agreement by Moroccan Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi and his Spanish counterpart, Félix Bolaños.
The document lays the groundwork for stronger legal partnerships between the nations, helping to streamline regulatory processes tied to the tournament’s organization.
Strengthening tripartite cooperation
Ojeda also acknowledged Portugal’s role in the collective effort, affirming that all three nations are committed to addressing the legal and administrative challenges that come with hosting football’s biggest competition.
He welcomed the progress made so far and praised the ongoing discussions aimed at reinforcing tripartite cooperation.
As preparations gain momentum, Spain, Morocco, and Portugal are focused on ensuring a seamless World Cup, demonstrating their ability to host a tournament that meets the highest global standards.
