Serhou Guirassy: Fenerbahçe linked with move for Dortmund’s Guinea‑France striker

Guinea-France centre-forward Serhou Guirassy of Borussia Dortmund is being linked with a summer move to Fenerbahçe, with the Turkish club reportedly weighing up a deal for the 30-year-old.

The Borussia Dortmund No 9, valued at €32.00m on Transfermarkt, is the subject of growing speculation over a switch from the Bundesliga to the Süper Lig, with the probability of a move currently rated at 57%. Guirassy’s contractual situation at Dortmund has not been clarified publicly, prompting talk that the club could cash in rather than risk him edging towards free-agent territory further down the line.

Born in Arles on 12 March 1996 and standing 1.87m tall, Guirassy is a right-footed centre-forward who represents Guinea but also holds French nationality. He joined Dortmund after prolific spells in Germany and France and has built a reputation as a powerful, penalty-box striker capable of leading the line on his own.

The links to Istanbul come on the back of another high-profile campaign in the Bundesliga, where his penalty-box presence has regularly decided tight matches for Dortmund. Most recently, he featured in Dortmund’s domestic run-in, including their league fixture in May against top-flight opposition, maintaining his role at the heart of the attack as Edin Terzić’s side chased a strong finish.

Guirassy’s market value of €32.00m underlines why Fenerbahçe would likely need a significant outlay or a favourable contractual opening to complete any deal. With no official end date listed on his current agreement, there remains uncertainty over whether Dortmund will look to extend his stay or entertain offers.

Should the move materialise, a switch to Fenerbahçe would offer Guirassy a fresh challenge at the forefront of a title-chasing side in Turkey and could prove a pivotal step in shaping the next phase of his career and reputation in European football.
