Round 12 of the Roshn Saudi League has become the highest-scoring round in the history of the Saudi Professional League after 41 goals were recorded across its fixtures.
The total, compiled by football statistics provider Opta, surpassed the previous record of 40 goals, set during round five of the 2025-2026 season.
The new mark was driven by several emphatic victories, including Al Shabab’s 6-1 win over Al Ahli and Al Qadsiah’s 6-0 victory against Al Riyadh. Al Nassr also defeated Al Kholood 5-3, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a hat-trick.
The result means round 12 produced one more goal than the previous record and now stands alone as the most productive single round since the Saudi Professional League began.
Heavy wins drive record total
Al Khaleej’s 4-2 victory over Al Hazem and Al Fayha’s 4-1 win against Al Faisaly added 11 more goals to the round’s tally.
Al Hilal scored twice against Al Fateh, while NEOM beat Al Diriyah 2-1. The goals continued to flow in the two remaining fixtures, although both ended in draws.
Abha and Al Ittihad played out a 1-1 draw, as did Al Taawoun and Al Ettifaq, completing a round that combined a record number of goals with several one-sided results.
The 41-goal total also gave the competition a notable statistical landmark as the leading sides’ race continued to develop, with the round producing both heavy defeats and unexpected outcomes.
Round 12 was played on 06 November 2026.
