Raja Casablanca fans have called for the sacking of coach Ricardo Sa Pinto following a string of poor results in the ongoing campaign.

Over thousand fans exploded with anger on Tuesday when Raja Casablanca succumbed to a 2-0 home defeat to FAR Rabat in the group stage opener of the CAF Champions League.

Reports emanating from Morocco suggest that the aggrieved fans of Raja Casablanca chanted and demanded the dismissal of the Portuguese trainer after their defeat.

Goals from Ahmed Hamoudane and Khalid Ait Ouarkhane were enough for the visitors to snatch victory at the Stade Larbi Zaouli.

Raja Casablanca have endured a terrible run in the ongoing campaign, losing two and drawing five in seven games, marking the worst record for a coach at the beginning of his career in the club’s history.

Coach Abdellatif Grindo is reported to be on top of the list to replace Sa Pinto should he be dismissed.

Raja commenced the season with Bosnian coach Rosmir Safeko, but he was dismissed due to poor results. Abdelkarim Al-Jinani was appointed temporarily to win 3 games with the team, before the club signed Sa Pinto.

Raja are currently 11th on the Moroccan league standings, accumulating 14 points after 11 games.
