Pyramids FC consider four strikers as Egypt transfer deadline approaches

Pyramids FC are weighing up four options as they seek to sign a new centre-forward before the close of the Egyptian registration window.

The Egyptian club have identified Algeria international Ahmed Nader Benbouali, Palestine forward Asad Al-Hamlaoui, Senegal striker Bamba Dieng and Bosnia and Herzegovina forward Jovo Lukic as possible targets.

Pyramids FC have yet to replace Fiston Mayele, who left the club to join Libyan side Ahly Tripoli. The club are now working to complete negotiations with one of the four players and hope to finalise the deal in the coming hours.

The club’s decision comes as the deadline for registering new players in Egypt draws close, leaving Pyramids FC with limited time to conclude their search for a replacement in the striker position.

Benbouali is currently with Hungarian club Gyor Torna Osztaly, while Al-Hamlaoui plays for Universitatea Craiova in Romania. Dieng is contracted to French club Lorient, and Lukic is with Romanian side Universitatea Cluj.

Pyramids FC have settled on the four-player shortlist and must now determine which candidate can be signed to strengthen their attack. The club’s priority is to secure a new centre-forward after Mayele’s departure to Ahly Tripoli.
