Poland lead Benin 2-0 at half-time in Women’s U20 World Cup

Poland hold a 2-0 lead over Benin at half-time in the third and final round of Women’s U20 World Cup group matches at the Municipal Stadium in Bielsko-Biała on Friday, 11 September 2026.

The hosts made their superiority count with two goals in a five-minute spell, giving them a comfortable advantage before the interval.

Grzywinska opened the scoring in the 26th minute after being set up by Wyrwas. Wyrwas then doubled Poland’s lead five minutes later, completing a decisive passage of play for the European side.

Benin, known as the Amazones, have struggled to retain possession under sustained pressure from Poland. They have held the ball for only 34% of the first half as the hosts have controlled the match.

The Benin defence has also come under repeated attack, with Poland registering nine shots before the break.

Benin’s technical staff will need to make significant tactical changes at half-time if they are to contain the continued Polish pressure and try to recover in the second half.
