Paris FC and Monaco face key Ligue 1 test amid contrasting injury situations

Paris FC and AS Monaco meet at Stade Jean-Bouin in a strategically important Ligue 1 fixture, with both clubs aiming to establish themselves among the leading sides in the championship.

The match is part of the ninth round of the French top flight and represents a direct contest between two teams seeking to strengthen their position at the top end of the table. Paris FC go into the game with significant selection problems, particularly in attack and defence, while Monaco have a much healthier squad available.

Paris FC

The Parisian side will be without several players for the visit of AS Monaco. Samir Chergui, Luca Koleosho, Jonathan Ikone and Nhoa Sangui are all ruled out.

There are also doubts over Rudy Matondo and Adama Camara, with both players uncertain to be involved before kick-off. Those absences could leave Paris FC short of options as they prepare for one of their most demanding fixtures of the campaign.

The club’s expected starting XI is:

Goalkeeper: Obed Nkambadio

Defenders: Hamari Traore, Moustapha Mbow, Diego Coppola, Otavio

Midfielders: Maxime Lopez, Pierre Lees-Melou, Pablo Pagis

Forwards: Ilan Kebbal, Lassine Sinayoko, Moses Simon

AS Monaco

AS Monaco’s injury list is considerably shorter ahead of the trip to Stade Jean-Bouin. Their only major absentee is Ansu Fati, who is expected to miss several matches.

The Principality club can therefore approach the fixture with most of their squad available, although Fati’s absence removes one of their attacking options for the ninth-round encounter with Paris FC.

Monaco’s probable line-up is:

Goalkeeper: Lukas Hradecky

Defenders: Vanderson, Sadibou Sane, Jordan Teze, Flavio Nazinho

Midfielders: Denis Zakaria, Lamine Camara, Aleksandr Golovin

Forwards: Matthis Abline, Paris Brunner, Mathys Detourbet

The game will see Paris FC and AS Monaco go head to head in a meeting with significant implications for both teams’ ambitions in Ligue 1. Paris FC must manage a number of absences across the squad, while Monaco will hope their greater availability gives them an advantage in the capital.
