Morocco: AS FAR draw goalless with Meknes after difficult league match

AS FAR were forced to share the points after playing out a goalless draw against Meknes Club in the sixth round of the Moroccan Professional League on Sunday evening.

The encounter, played at the Honor Stadium in Meknes, saw both sides struggle to create clear goalscoring opportunities, with neither team able to find the breakthrough over the course of 90 minutes.

Despite their efforts, the two sides lacked attacking effectiveness and failed to capitalise on the chances available to them, eventually settling for a point apiece.

Meknes maintain second position

The result means Meknes Club retain second place in the league standings with 11 points.

AS FAR, meanwhile, moved to eight points following the stalemate, leaving them sixth in the standings.

The draw did little to change the positions of the two teams as the Moroccan Professional League campaign continued.
