OSCAR PISTORIUS: HIS TRIAL POSTPONED DUE TO THE STATE OF HEALTH OF ONE OF HIS ASSESSORS
The trial of Oscar Pistorius is facing a brief hiatus, as it was adjourned until April 7th due to the health condition of one of its assessors.
This postponement comes at a pivotal moment, as the defense was set to present their case today, potentially allowing the accused to testify for the first time.
Earlier in the week, the trial had already encountered a pause following a request from the defense, citing the need for time to contact certain prosecution witnesses.
Originally slated to span three weeks, Pistorius’ trial has extended beyond initial estimates, leading the athlete to resort to selling his house to cover legal expenses. Pistorius faces a potential 25 years in prison.
