Nicolas Jackson’s Aston Villa revival welcomed by Mohamed Adama Sarr after Manchester City double

Nicolas Jackson’s return to form at Aston Villa has been welcomed by former Senegal international Mohamed Adama Sarr after the striker scored twice in a 2-1 win over Manchester City.

The Senegal international has now scored seven goals in 11 appearances in all competitions, having also registered a double in Aston Villa’s 6-0 victory over Fenerbahce in the UEFA Champions League.

Jackson joined Aston Villa from Chelsea this summer in a deal worth 55 million euros and has quickly established himself as a key attacking figure. His latest goals came in the eighth round of the English Premier League, where his finishing helped Aston Villa secure victory against Manchester City.

The performance continued a strong run for Jackson, who had already scored twice against Fenerbahce in the second round of the UEFA Champions League. His displays have marked a significant change in fortunes after a difficult period at Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

Sarr has been pleased to see his fellow Senegalese player regain his confidence and produce consistently for Aston Villa. The former international believes Jackson is benefiting from working under Unai Emery, who also coached him at CF Villarreal at the beginning of his career.

Jackson has been supported by compatriot Ibrahim Mbaye and the rest of the Aston Villa squad as he continues to find the net regularly. Sarr has advised him to maintain this level over a sustained period and build on his recent performances rather than treating the current run as a short-term resurgence.

Aston Villa’s next fixture will be against Bournemouth in the fourth round of the League Cup.
