Ndiaye agrees lucrative Al Hilal terms but Everton hold firm on fee demand

Senegal forward Iliman Ndiaye has reached an agreement in principle over a highly lucrative contract with Al Hilal, but the Saudi Pro League club must still overcome Everton’s sizeable valuation to complete any transfer.

Al Hilal have secured Ndiaye’s approval on the terms of a proposed deal, with the 26-year-old reported by aawsat to have accepted a weekly salary of around €316,000. The agreement marks a major step for the Riyadh club as they seek to add the Everton attacker to their squad this summer.

Talks now hinge on negotiations with Everton, who are under no pressure to sell and are determined to resist an easy exit for one of their attacking assets during the current transfer window.

Everton set high asking price

The Goodison Park hierarchy are described as resolute over their financial demands and are seeking a fee in excess of €80m before they will seriously consider sanctioning Ndiaye’s departure.

That stance threatens to make discussions between the two clubs difficult, particularly given that, according to Africafoot, Everton’s minimum price is set at $80m for any deal to go through in this summer’s market.

The figures place Al Hilal in a position where they must decide whether to meet Everton’s demands or risk seeing the move collapse, despite already having the player’s consent on personal terms.

Long contract and current value

Ndiaye is under contract at Everton until the summer of 2029, strengthening the Premier League club’s hand in negotiations and enabling them to adopt a hard line over the transfer fee.

The Senegal international’s market value is currently estimated at €55m, a valuation significantly lower than Everton’s asking price but one that reflects his status and potential in European football.

In England, Ndiaye is understood to earn €2,795,582 per year, a salary equivalent to 1,817,128,300 FCFA, underlining the scale of the financial upgrade on offer in Saudi Arabia should Al Hilal manage to push the deal over the line.

The coming days are expected to be crucial in determining whether Al Hilal decide to meet Everton’s price or attempt to negotiate the fee down, with Ndiaye’s future still uncertain despite his agreement on personal terms.
