Mohamed Boudrika, the president of Raja Club Athletic, expressed his gratitude to the lawyer representing the club in the case involving their former Gabonese player, Axel Mayi.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, the president of Raja said, “Thanks to the Egyptian legal advisor, Azam, who represented the club and helped us win the dispute with FIFA in the Axel Mayi case, whose contract with Raja was worth 1.1 billion centimes.”
Mayi, who had signed a three-year contract with former president Aziz Al-Badrawi, had his contract bought out by Ittihad Tanger for around 400 million centimes.
However, he failed to deliver on expectations, leading to a mutual termination of his contract. Later, he surprised everyone by filing a lawsuit with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to claim his dues.
