Imad Faraj: Esperance linked with Neftchi PFK winger

France-Moroccan winger Imad Faraj is being linked with a move from Neftchi PFK to Esperance, with the Tunisian club named as a possible destination for the 27-year-old right winger.

Faraj joined Neftchi on 5 July 2025 and remains under contract with the Azerbaijani club until 30 June 2028. Neftchi compete in Azerbaijan’s Premyer Liqa, while Esperance play in Tunisia’s Ligue 1.

The Croix-born player has represented both France and Morocco by nationality. His main position is on the right wing, and his listed market value is €1.5m.

Before moving to Neftchi, Faraj played for AEK Larnaca, helping the Cypriot club win the Cypriot Cup in the 2024-25 season. That remains the only senior honour recorded in his career.

The reported link places Faraj under consideration by Esperance while he still has two years remaining on his Neftchi contract. No transfer fee has been attached to the rumour, and there has been no indication of a completed agreement between the clubs.

For now, Faraj remains a Neftchi player, with his contract due to expire on 30 June 2028.
