In a match against Ajaccio, Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda suffered an injury to his left shoulder after a bad fall towards the end of the game. The initial diagnosis, as stated by Christophe Baudot, the head of Marseille’s medical team, suggests that Mandanda has a “small acromioclavicular sprain of the left shoulder and slight cervical trauma.” However, further assessment will be conducted during Sunday’s training session to determine the extent of the injury.
Despite Mandanda’s injury, Marseille secured a victory against Ajaccio with a hat-trick from André Ayew, winning 3-1 in the opening match of the 32nd day of Ligue 1.
