Manchester United v Roma: Mbeumo and Ndicka named in predicted line-ups

Manchester United and AS Roma meet at Old Trafford on Tuesday in the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League, with both managers facing late decisions over the availability of several players.

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick is waiting on updates over a number of attacking options, while Gian Piero Gasperini has several key Roma players whose involvement remains uncertain.

Patrick Dorgu has returned to Manchester United’s full-team training but will not be available for this match. Luke Shaw and Benjamin Sesko are also expected to miss out.

Marcus Rashford remains subject to assessment before kick-off. Amad Diallo is another doubt after leaving the pitch injured during the match against Chelsea, although he returned to group training on Monday.

Leny Yoro is available again after missing Manchester United’s previous European fixture through suspension.

Roma will be without Paulo Dybala, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Manu Kone, who are among the players listed as unavailable or doubtful. Goalkeeper Mile Svilar is also expected to miss the game, potentially allowing Pierluigi Gollini to retain his place in the side.

Donyell Malen is expected to provide one of Roma’s principal attacking threats at Old Trafford.
