Manchester United confirm signing of Cameroon midfielder Carlos Baleba from Brighton

Manchester United have officially completed the signing of Carlos Baleba from Brighton in a transfer estimated at about 80 million euros, making the Cameroon international one of the biggest moves of the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old midfielder has agreed a five-year contract with the Old Trafford club, with Manchester United holding an option to extend the deal by a further year. Baleba successfully completed his medical in the north of England last Sunday before formally putting pen to paper on his move.

Baleba was earning an annual salary of 756,162 euros, equivalent to 491,505,300 CFA francs, during his time with Brighton. His move to Manchester United now represents the next stage of his career and gives the club another option in midfield.
