Majestic SC begin Burkina Faso Ligue 1 season with victory over AS SONABEL

Majestic SC opened their new Burkina Faso Ligue 1 campaign with a 1-0 win away to AS SONABEL.

The visitors, known as the Academiciens de Sapone, produced a disciplined performance to keep the home side from creating a breakthrough.

AS SONABEL, the Electriciens, were unable to find a way past a well-organised Majestic defence despite playing at home.

Majestic SC eventually found the decisive goal and held on to secure all three points from their opening fixture.

The result gives Majestic an ideal start to the season, while AS SONABEL must wait for their next league match to get off the mark.
