Mahamadou Nagida attracts interest from Europe’s leading clubs

Mahamadou Nagida is attracting growing interest in the transfer market, with Paris Saint-Germain, FC Porto, Inter Milan and Juventus Turin among the clubs reportedly monitoring the Stade Rennais left-back.

The 21-year-old Cameroon defender has emerged as an attractive option because of his profile and potential. Journalist Ekrem Konur says the four clubs are following his situation closely as they assess possible opportunities in future transfer windows.

According to exclusive information from Africafoot, Borussia Dortmund are also interested in Nagida, taking the number of major European clubs linked with the player to five.

However, a move during the winter transfer window appears unlikely. Stade Rennais want to keep Nagida until at least the end of the season and are not currently expected to make it easy for him to leave in January.

That position could change if the club receive an exceptionally attractive offer. A significant financial proposal may persuade the Stade Rennais hierarchy to reconsider, although there have been no confirmed negotiations at this stage.

Nagida’s contract with Stade Rennais runs until 30 June 2029. His estimated market value is €10m, while he earns an annual salary of €120,000, equivalent to 78,000,000 FCFA.

Paris Saint-Germain are continuing to monitor several promising African players in Ligue 1 as they plan for the future, with Nagida now among those attracting attention.

Stade Rennais will next face Strasbourg in the eighth round of the French championship. The listed match odds are 1.70 for a Stade Rennais win, 4.35 for a draw and 3.9 for a Strasbourg victory.
