M squared backs HYROX star Ali Mazhar with season-long sponsorship deal

Egyptian real estate developer M squared has signed a one-year sponsorship agreement with entrepreneur and HYROX champion Ali Mazhar to support his full 2026-27 season, running from July 2026 to July 2027.

M squared, the property arm of Intro Holding and one of Egypt’s leading real estate companies, will back Mazhar as he competes in a series of HYROX events across Europe, Asia and South America over the coming year.

HYROX, one of the fastest-growing competitive sports globally, combines running with functional fitness exercises, creating an endurance test that challenges strength, stamina and speed. The sport is expanding rapidly worldwide, with dozens of races staged each year and attracting elite athletes and amateurs from multiple countries.

Under the terms of the deal, M squared will support Mazhar’s participation in several international races, starting with the opening stop in Istanbul on 1 and 2 August. His schedule will then take in events in Rome, Rio de Janeiro, London and a number of other cities around the world during the 2026-27 campaign.

M squared says the partnership reflects its wider strategy of developing active, vibrant destinations in which sport and physical activity are embedded into everyday life.

Shared values at heart of deal

Kareem Melash, chairman and chief executive of M squared, said the company’s decision to sponsor Mazhar was rooted in a shared outlook.

The 2026-27 campaign will be Mazhar’s second full season in HYROX after he made his debut in the discipline in 2025, when his long-standing interest in fitness turned into a professional sporting career.

Since stepping into HYROX competition, Mazhar has taken part in more than 16 races. His best results to date include finishing second in Abu Dhabi and taking third place at the Red Bull Monday Night Shift Invitational. He is currently focused on raising his level further to compete at the highest tier in what is regarded as one of the world’s fastest-growing sports.

Sports, business and community building

The relationship between M squared and Mazhar extends beyond the HYROX season.

The two parties are also linked by a long-term investment partnership through AlphaX and BeFit Gym, both located within RITSA, the commercial destination developed by M squared in its “Masif Ras El Hekma” project on Egypt’s North Coast. The collaboration brings together sport, entrepreneurship and community building in one location.

Mazhar described the tie-up with M squared as a significant step at a pivotal moment in his athletic career.

Mazhar added that he is targeting a strong season as he looks to convert his recent progress into further podium finishes on the international HYROX circuit.

He concluded: “اتطلع الى موسم قوي، واتمنى ان نحتفل معا بمحطات وانجازات جديدة”.
