Loïs Diony has left SCO Angers on loan to Turkish second-division side Bandirmaspor, with his contract expected to be terminated soon.
The 32-year-old striker, who finished as Angers’ top scorer in Ligue 2 last season with 15 goals, has been out of favor this campaign.
His only appearance came as a sluggish substitute against RC Lens, after which he was relegated to training with the reserves. Despite interest from FC Metz and Schalke, Diony remained at Angers but never featured again.
Complicating his situation, the forward is under investigation by the LFP for allegedly betting on Angers during a game against Paris FC last season. With no future at the club, he has now secured a short-term loan move to Bandirmaspor.
Although his contract was set to run until 2026, Angers are expected to part ways with him permanently once the loan ends. This marks the end of his time with the Ligue 2 club, where he struggled to regain his standing after a promising goal-scoring season.
