Ismaily SC takes bold step to restore stability with general assembly
Ismaily SC is moving quickly to address rising tensions within the club by calling for an extraordinary general assembly on August 12.
The decision came after an emergency meeting on Wednesday, as the board, led by Nasr Abu Al-Hassan, responded to growing demands for a vote of no confidence.
Despite the fact that calls for the assembly did not meet the legal quorum, the board agreed to move forward with the process, signaling a commitment to transparency and responsibility toward the club’s stakeholders.
The Ismaili Council said in an official statement: “This decision comes out of respect and appreciation for the Ismaili street and the members of the General Assembly, and in the interest of absolute transparency, leaving the matter in the hands of the Assembly members who have the real interest. It also confirms that the Council members will not cling to their seats except for the public good and to complete the many projects currently being implemented, for which serious steps have been taken and which are close to being implemented on the ground.”
The club will soon share further details and legal procedures.
