Noam Ben Loucif joins IC de Croix after leaving SM Caen B

French-Algerian right-back Noam Ben Loucif has joined IC de Croix after leaving SM Caen B and spending the start of the 2026-27 season without a club.

The 20-year-old, who was born in Roubaix, has signed for the French club on a contract running until 30 June 2027. IC de Croix compete in National 2 – Group D, and Ben Loucif is registered as a defender whose preferred position is right-back.

Ben Loucif’s move brings him back into club football after his departure from SM Caen B on 1 July 2026. He joined IC de Croix on 7 September, completing his switch at the beginning of the new campaign.

The full-back spent the 2025-26 season with SM Caen B after stepping up from the club’s under-19 side. During that campaign, he made 13 appearances in National 2 – Group G and played a further three matches in National 2 – Group D.

His record also includes 20 appearances for SM Caen’s under-19 team in National U19 – Group A, where he provided one assist. He featured for 1,601 minutes in the competition and also played twice during the National U19 final phase.

Ben Loucif began his time at SM Caen after moving from Olympique Marcquois in July 2024. Before joining that club’s senior ranks, he had spent time with Olympique Marcquois B, making his early career entirely within the French club system.

The right-footed defender now adds experience across both youth and senior National 2 football to IC de Croix’s squad. His arrival gives the club a player accustomed to operating on the right side of defence and with competitive experience at two levels of the French game.

Ben Loucif’s contract with IC de Croix runs through 30 June 2027.
