Ismaila Sarr makes Crystal Palace history with 20-goal milestone
Ismaila Sarr has written his name into Crystal Palace history after reaching 20 goals in all competitions this season, matching a milestone last achieved by club legend Glenn Murray more than a decade ago.
The Senegalese forward reached the landmark with a goal against Everton on Sunday, May 10, capping a standout campaign that has seen him emerge as one of the club’s most consistent attacking threats.
Sarr’s achievement places him alongside Murray, who last reached the same total during the 2012–2013 season, underlining the significance of his contribution to Crystal Palace’s current campaign.
This season has marked a turning point in Sarr’s performances, with the 26-year-old demonstrating a level of consistency that has impressed both supporters and analysts.
While his pace and dribbling ability have long been recognised, his improved finishing has added a new dimension to his game.
The forward has delivered key goals in both domestic and European competitions, playing an important role in Palace’s attacking setup throughout the season.
His ability to impact matches in decisive moments has made him a central figure in the squad.
By reaching the 20-goal mark, Sarr has established himself among the most productive forwards in the club’s recent history, joining a select group of players to have achieved such a tally in a single season.
His form has also made him a key reference point for the team’s attacking play, with his contributions proving vital in several important fixtures.
For Crystal Palace supporters, Sarr’s performances have provided renewed optimism and excitement, as the club continues to build around his attacking influence.
As the season progresses, attention will now turn to whether the Senegal international can extend his record further and finish the campaign on an even higher note, having already secured his place in Crystal Palace history.
