Hearts of Oak appoint Nebojsa Kapor on two-year deal

Hearts of Oak have turned to Nebojsa Kapor as the man to lead their rebuild, handing the Serbian coach a two-year contract as they begin a fresh chapter for the 2026/27 season.

The Phobians believe his appointment can steady the club and restore some of the confidence that has been missing in recent campaigns.

Nebojsa Kapor is already familiar with Ghanaian football, which should help him settle quickly in Accra. He has previously managed Tema Youth, Bechem United and Medeama SC, giving him valuable knowledge of the league, the players and the demands of local supporters. Hearts say that Kapor’s deep understanding of Ghanaian football, along with his reputation for developing young talent and favouring an attacking style, made him the right choice after an extensive search.

The club also described the move as the start of “a new era” and stressed that further changes to the technical team could follow soon. Supporters have been urged to get behind the new coach as he takes on the challenge of lifting Hearts back toward domestic and continental success.
