Hassan Ali signs new Al Masry contract running to 2029

Al Masry have announced that playmaker Hassan Ali has signed a new contract keeping him at the Port Said club until 2029.

The 28-year-old, a key figure in the side’s attacking set-up, first broke into the Al Masry first team in 2019 after being promoted from the club’s youth ranks.

Since making his senior debut, Hassan Ali has gone on to make 209 appearances for Al Masry in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing 17 assists.

Strategic summer for Al Masry

Al Masry’s decision to secure Hassan Ali on a long-term deal comes as the club reshape their squad following the end of last season.

The club have already announced their first signing of the summer, completing a deal for Moroccan player Abdellah Ziadi from Moroccan side Difaa Hassani El Jadidi.

At the same time, two players have departed this summer, with Kingsley Eduwo and Mido Gaber leaving the Port Said outfit.

Last season’s campaign and future outlook

Al Masry finished last season in fifth place in the league table, collecting 40 points over the course of the campaign.

Despite their top-five finish, Al Masry will not take part in any continental competitions in the coming season.

The team are coached by Emad El Nahhas, who continues as manager as the club aim to build on last season’s domestic performance while reshaping the squad around core players such as Hassan Ali.
