Hakim Ziyech has officially departed from Chelsea to join Turkish giants Galatasaray on a permanent transfer. This move follows his season-long loan spell with the Super Lig champions.

The 31-year-old Moroccan international no longer belongs to the Premier League club.

Galatasaray confirmed the news on Friday, announcing that Ziyech has signed a one-year contract with the option for an additional year.

“The permanent transfer of professional footballer Hakim Ziyech was carried out free of charge, the conditions of the free purchase option stipulated in the temporary transfer contract being fulfilled,” stated Galatasaray in their official announcement.

This marks the end of Ziyech’s four-year stint at Chelsea, which began in 2020.

During his time with the Blues, he made 107 appearances, netted 14 goals, and provided 13 assists.

His tenure at Stamford Bridge saw him win the Champions League, European Super Cup, and Club World Cup.

Ziyech recently helped Galatasaray clinch the Turkish championship and is set to earn 2.85 million euros per season with his new club.

The Galatasaray press release disclosed, “The footballer will receive a net seasonal salary of 2,850,000 euros for the 2024-2025 season.

Furthermore, in accordance with the agreement, if the conditional extension option is realized, the footballer will receive a net seasonal salary of 2,850,000 euros for the 2025-2026 season.”

The Moroccan playmaker’s move to Galatasaray is seen as a significant boost for the club as they look to defend their Super Lig title and make an impact in European competitions.

Ziyech’s experience and creative flair are expected to add considerable depth to Galatasaray’s attacking options.

During his time at Chelsea, Ziyech demonstrated his technical prowess and vision on the field.

He played a pivotal role in the club’s European success, contributing to their Champions League victory in 2021.

Despite facing some challenges, including injuries and changes in management, Ziyech remained a valuable asset for the team.

His departure from Chelsea marks the end of an era, but also opens a new chapter in his career.

Ziyech’s move to Galatasaray offers him the opportunity to be a key figure in a team that values his talents and provides a platform for him to shine.

Galatasaray’s acquisition of Ziyech reflects their ambition to maintain their dominance in Turkish football and compete at the highest levels in Europe.

The club’s management is keen on strengthening the squad with experienced and skilled players who can make an immediate impact.

Ziyech’s signing is expected to energize the team and provide a significant boost in creativity and attacking prowess.

His ability to deliver precise crosses, take on defenders, and score from long range makes him a valuable addition to the squad.

Hakim Ziyech’s permanent move to Galatasaray from Chelsea is a noteworthy transfer in the current window.

It highlights the Turkish club’s strategic moves to bolster their squad with high-caliber players.

As Ziyech begins this new chapter in his career, fans and analysts alike will be eager to see how his influence shapes Galatasaray’s performance in both domestic and international competitions.
