GUINEA: IBRAHIMA TRAORÉ VOTED BEST FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR
Guinea celebrated its top football talent during a prestigious event held at the Franco-Guinean cultural center as part of the 11th edition of the Nimba d’Or awards.
Ibrahima Traoré, the forward from German club Stuttgart, emerged as the standout performer of the evening, clinching the title of Best Footballer of the Year. With an impressive tally of 1759 votes, Traoré surpassed Kevin Constant of Milan AC, who secured 1064 votes. Constant, however, found solace in being honored as the Best Sportsman.
The event also recognized other outstanding individuals within the Guinean sports community, with accolades such as Best Foreign Footballer awarded to Jean Francis Ebélé Dipita, Best Guinean Referee presented to Aboubacar Mario Bangoura, and Best Guinean Coach bestowed upon Kanfory Lappé Bangoura. Additionally, honors were extended to individuals in various categories including sports agent, sports investor, and manager, with notable mention to Abdoul Karim Bangoura, Aboubacar Dinah Sampil Camara, and Antonio Souaré, respectively.
